Yesterday I had a wonderful day at Dunston Hall with Norse Group Ltd. for their One Event. I had been invited by Norse to design and prepare a collaborative arts project that we could create on the day. Norse are very environmentally conscious and were keen to incorporate this - thats where Soodle Street comes in!
Each of Norse's base areas from across the country were asked to nominate a building that they feel is iconic of their location. We have 9 buildings, and altogether they are going to create a street called 'The Norse Way' - Norse's tag line for their community endeavours.
I created some templates and provided the unwanted paper, and on the day the buildings were created! Everyone was really enthusiastic and keen to join in. I think everyone enjoyed being creative and producing something personal and relevant. It was a lovely relaxed atmosphere where people could do something they wouldn't normally.
I had such a great time at my first Norwich Makers Market last weekend! Thanks to everyone who stopped to have a chat and bought some Soodle Street products! Your lovely comments were very encouraging. Now looking forward to the next one in August :D
